.·:*¨༺ Dr. Reanimator ༻¨*:·.; Causality, is it? I'd like to speak with you if you have the time. I had originally spoken to a unitmate of yours for a commission, but it seems she's... been transferred. If you're alright with taking on some additional work, then perhaps we can meet up and hash out the details and cost.
.·:*¨༺ Dr. Reanimator ༻¨*:·.; I have 4 mannequins I would like fully articulated. In addition to that though, I was hoping to give each of them a kind of... purpose. And in doing so outfitting in a way that would make sense. If, say, I wanted a pack mule, then ensuring it had plenty of compartments. Or if I wanted a body guard, then making it a touch more sturdy and giving it a weapon. Things like that.
.·:*¨༺ Dr. Reanimator ༻¨*:·.; We can at least start with the articulation then. I have yet to give any serious thought to their individual purposes, since I didn't know how much something like this would cost me.
Causality: I'd say the price of materials and either 100 points or 50 points per hour worked, whichever comes out to more. Causality: Though due to our abilities I don't expect it will take long. Causality: Will that work?
.·:*¨༺ Dr. Reanimator ༻¨*:·.; Absolutely. Perhaps you can help me decide what I can do with the four of them... but that can be something discussed later. Should I bring them over?
It's a pleasure, Causality. I'd like to introduce you to Bravo, Charlie, Delta, and Echo. [ the mannequins don't do anything but stand there. ] Your subjects for this afternoon.
[ dottore and his mannequins follow casuality inside. ]
Sounds good to me. [ he starts looking around, because labs are just his thing. ] Ah, what a nice work space. [ the mannequins space out and just start wandering around aimlessly. ]
And primarily I would like them to have joints. Ankles. Knees. Hips. Wrists. Elbows. Shoulders. Neck. Everything. As you can see they're a little bit... too stiff. And if it's possible fireproofing. Not that I expect anybody to try to set my dear mannequins on fire, but... I'd rather not have to find new ones should something or someone go up in flames.
As for the rest... [ he folds his arms, leaning back against a table as he stares down one of them. ] I'm not entirely sure. I definitely need a pack mule, but that's merely one of four...
I'll have to replace the materials entirely for fireproofing... but as for uses, two pack mules would be better than one, wouldn't it? Especially if they need to carry an object too bulky for just one to balance.
[ nods. ] Alright, so perhaps reinforced joints for at least two of them, since I wouldn't want them to break under the pressure of whatever task they're assigned. A shed, of some kind, to house all of my tools... [ so that's three. ] But, yes, replacing the materials isn't a problem, I don't think... about how much per mannequin?
The materials for each mannequin should be 225 points each, add that up for all four and it comes out to 900, plus work time... I can't imagine it would take that long, since the mannequins themselves aren't mechanical.
[ going to bring up his own phone. ] And that's for all of their new joints, yes? [ sends him 1000 points. ] I'll have to give you a tip once we're all finished with their upgrades.
Thank you. I'll get started right away. Could you please have one sit on the lab table?
[Anyway speaking of, a personal assistant appears and marches for the door, off to bring back his new purchases - namely, four large sheets of titanium.]
[ he's not listening... but thankfully one of the mannequins goes over to try to get onto the table. it ends up just falling onto it, because at the moment it can't sit. ]
[She does not have a rifle but she is cute and stronk.
Anyway, as long as the mannequin's on the table, that'll do! And when the personal assistant sets the titanium sheet down, Causality gets to work, using reuse and recycle to manipulate the metal. Some of it he gadgeteers to the mannequin so its entire body is made of titanium; the rest he busily works into it in order to give it both articulation as well as more bulky limbs that can be relied on for both storage and strength to carry objects without losing any stability.]
[ dottore is going to watch intently. fin's ability are certainly something special. he might be a little jealous. having a personal assistant is nice, one that can actually do things. his mannequins are nothing like her. they're... the budget version. and those abilities. yeah, he's jealous. not that he doesn't like alcheme's abilities, but science!!! ]
[ blinks, ] Ah, right, [ and then he's looking over at the mannequin, who has no trouble getting off the table. ] Pick up Charlie. [ the mannequin does so with ease, earning a laugh from dottore. ] Alright, so if you could do that to one more of them, since you suggested that might be good if they had to carry something larger... Bravo, set Charlie down on the table. [ bravo does so. ] But an excellent job so far, Causality.
day 513.
I'd like to speak with you if you have the time.

Re: day 513.
Causality: What did you have in mind? In a general sense.

Re: day 513.
Causality: But I can add articulation and compartments.

Welcome.
Re: day 513.
Re: day 513.
I see. We can go to the lab and discuss the alterations in more detail if you'd like?

Re: day 513.
What sorts of alterations should I make?

1000 points should cover all of it.

Re: day 513.
...Okay, I think that should be sufficient for this one. But if you'd like to check for yourself before I continue...?
[As promised, the mannequin is the perfect pack mule.]
